B-Proof Boot Waterproofing Wax
This is a traditional leather waterproofing & conditioning recipe from the 1800’s which is
perfectly suited for dealing with the tough, wet & boggy conditions of Connemara. It is
excellent at repelling water & gentle on the stitching and soles of your hiking boots & it
can also be applied to leather saddles.
It contains only natural ingredients with one of them being raw beeswax from our own
beehives here in Camus, Connemara.
Warning: As with all boot waterproofing waxes, this wax may darken the leather &
change the surface appearance of the boot, so we advise testing the wax on a small,
inconspicuous area of the boot first.
Directions for use:
Clean your leather boots before starting the treatment & ensure they are completely dry.
Using your fingers, scrape some B-Proof wax onto a cloth & work it into the leather
evenly. Once applied, use a hairdryer to warm up the wax on the leather to aid its
absorption. Can be reapplied as often as needed.
